The North American Chassis Pool Cooperative (NACPC) is adding 1,200 new chassis and plans further expansion of a business model that its executives say has been a catalyst for improving chassis quality and controlling costs. NACPC, organized five years ago, has had an outsized impact on the intermodal chassis market, said NACPC chairman Dave Manning, who also is president of Nashville-based TCW and chairman of the American Trucking Associations (ATA).
