Truckload Rates Rise As Demand Stays Hot into August
August had a stronger start than any month in more than a year and a half. The number of posted loads was nearly unchanged compared to the previous week while available capacity fell 2.1%. National average van, flatbed, and refrigerated rates all increased.

CargoLogicAir’s first scheduled route to carry 200 tonnes per week to Mexico
Later this month, British all-cargo airline CargoLogicAir (CLA) will begin twice-weekly U.K.-to-Mexico service – the first scheduled cargo route the carrier has offered – linking Mexico City to markets in the United States, via Atlanta, and the carrier’s London-based hub.
Port of Oakland to Start Five-Year Record Run in 2018
Californian Port of Oakland is anticipating a five-year run of record cargo volume beginning in 2018. By 2022, the port expects to handle the equivalent of 2.6 million 20-foot containers annually. The number would represent 8 percent more volume than the port has ever processed in a single year.
$100 Trillion Needed for Infrastructure by 2040
