Report: Food and beverage is the fastest growing online channel
Global online food and beverage sales will increase 80% over the next five years, according to research firm Euromonitor International. This growth will outpace the 73% growth projected for the broader retail industry during the same time period, the firm notes. By 2022, Euromonitor forecasts that global online retail sales will eclipse traditional grocery sales.

Moody’s sees alternative beverages entering the mainstream

U.S. organic food sales jump more than 8%
Organic food sales in the United States increased by 8.4% in 2016 to reach $43 billion, marking the first time sales surpassed $40 billion, according to the Organic Trade Association’s industry survey released May 24. The 8.4% jump compared to an increase of 0.6% in overall U.S. food market sales.
